Cannons at Old Fort Madison Site
There are two cannons at the site of Old Fort Madison. These are 6 pounder bronze field guns, M1841. The location is easily confused with the reconstructed Old Fort Madison which is in a different location in Riverview Park. This site is close to the street (Highway 61) and across the street from the former Schaffer Pen facility. Photos taken 12/29/07.
