Civil War Monument
This is a nice 10 foot granite obelisk in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. The inscription says “In memory of the unknown dead 1861 - 1865.” It is on the north side of town – take 3rd Street north to J Avenue and the monument is visible from the street. Photos taken 7/8/20.
