Muster Plaque 32nd Iowa Regiment
This is a bronze plaque on a small block of granite identifying the spot of muster of Company D of the 32nd Iowa Infantry Regiment on August 11, 1862. It is on the NE corner of Courthouse Square in Boone. The Courthouse is located on the west side of town - follow Mamie Eisenhower Avenue west to the Courthouse. Photos taken 10/25/07.

Also shown is a Lincoln Highway marker located just a few feet away from the monument. The famous Lincoln Highway formerly ran by here - today Highway 30 bypasses Boone.
