Lady Liberty Monument
This is an impressive 50 foot monument with four bronze soldiers and sailors and bronze plaques listing Cass County veterans. There is also a plaque of the Gettysburg Address. It was dedicated July 10, 1919. It commemorates veterans from the Civil War, Spanish-American War and WWI. There is also a more modern Veterans Monument. The location is in a little park south of the business district and off Highway 6. Photos taken 9/1/08. In July 2010, when I stopped by, the Lady Liberty at the top of the monument had been removed for repair.
