Soldier Monument Springdale Cemetery
This is a 20 foot monument with a mustachioed soldier atop a circular granite column in Springdale Cemetery. It is a bit difficult to locate but is in the GAR section in the central part of the cemetery. There are 60 CW headstones near-by. The inscription says it was erected by the Baker Post Number 88 GAR and WRC Number 10 in 1891. The entrance is off North Bluff Street. The cemetery is located just west of Ashford University. Photo taken 7/23/08.
