Civil War Soldier
This very nice monument is at the Taylorsville Cemetery. Thanks to Court Stahr for information about the monument. He also passed on information that a Confederate, James H. Little, of Virginia's 7th Cavalry is buried here. He was captured in October of 1864 and released in November after swearing allegiance to the U. S. He moved to Iowa one year after the war. To locate the cemetery, take blacktop W51, which connects Wadena to Arlington. Turn east on gravel road Delta Road. Continue to a T-intersection (about one mile) and turn south on C Avenue. The cemetery is about 150 yards after the T and is on the east side of the road. Photos taken 9/18/10.
