Veterans Memorial at Old Chapin Cemetery
This monument is dedicated to veterans from the Civil War, Spanish-American War and World War I. It reads, "To the Memory of the Soldiers and Sailors of the United States." The words "Courage, Fidelity, Honor and Patriotism" are on the base of the monument. Old Chapin Cemetery is indeed an old and historic cemetery. Take 210th Street west of Chapin for 2 miles - then turn left or south on Mallard Avenue to the cemetery. The monument is hard to locate - at the old gate, go slightly left for 45 yards.
