Soldier Tombstone Monument
This life sized bearded soldier sets atop the grave of Pvt. Gerrat Diedericks (1824-1898) of Co. K, 4th Missouri Infantry. This was a regiment that served for 3 months which included the Battle of Wilson's Creek on August 10, 1861. Pvt. Diedericks was born in Holland. The monument is located in the NE corner of Evergreen Cemetery, 1800 N 8th Street, on the East side of Red Oak. Take 8th St off Highway 34.
