Civil War Monument
This monument is dedicated to unknown soldiers. It was erected in 1904. The GAR emblem is shown on the monument. It is in the cemetery on the southeast edge of Belmond south of the Eaton Corporation factory. Follow Luick's Lane south from Main Street for 1/2 mile. The monument is in the SW end of the cemetery by the flagpole and maintenance shed. Thank you to the Belmond Independent Newspaper for notification about the monument and the excellent photos.
