6-Pounder Bronze Field Gun
This 6-pounder bronze field gun, Model 1841, is located in the office of Dr. David Davidson, a dentist in Urbandale. The cannon and carriage are in excellent condition. The close-up photo of the trunnion on the left side reads "M. Greenwood Cincinnati O." Miles Greenwood was the owner of Eagle Ironworks in Cincinnati. It also shows the year of manufacture in 1864 and "173", the foundry number. "2 Ohio" is marked on the face of the cannon. Dr. Davidson is the owner of the cannon. Photos taken 5/24/12.
