Last Soldier Charles F. Regnier
Private Charles Regnier (1845-1942) was the last living soldier of Muscatine County. He served in Company H, 1st Ohio Light Artillery. Dan Rittel (pictured) and Mary Rittel placed the Last Soldier plaque on 6/30/18. Thanks to them for the photo and information. He is buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. Take Calhoun St. south through the business district and past the Fairgrounds to the Cemetery.
