Camp Harlan Plaque
This memorial is on the spot of Camp Harlan. The camp was in the background of this photo. It is said that there is also a spring house that still exists today that has names of soldiers – but is not open to the public without permission of the owner. This memorial was recently improved and a new plaque updated with more information about the camp. Also see a plaque honoring Medal of Honor Recipients in the 4th Cavalry which is listed as a separate monument. This memorial is on the corner of Hickory and Courtland on the NW side of town. It is across the street from the clubhouse at the Country Club. Photos taken 12/18/07.
